This entry-level dump truck driver training course is Nationally Accredited. Throughout the course, you will:

1. Learn how to operate a Dump Truck safely
2. Train on a site working under the Mining & Quarrying Act, where you will assist with removing the overburden (aka the material on top of the coal).
3. Receive integral one-on-one time within the truck with our training going through real-time operation using our mine-specific machine.

Who Can Undertake Dump Truck Training?

One of the many benefits with the mining industry is that it does not discriminate. Our dump truck driver training courses reflect this and more. This course is designed for both experienced and inexperienced operators wanting to learn how to use large machinery. We encourage people for all walks of life to participate and complete this training. You will leave with enough knowledge to be ready to work in the mine.

In order to undertake this training, you need to be 18 years of age and hold a driver’s license. Learner licenses will not be accepted and drivers must be on their preliminary license or higher.

It is also required that our students have a basic understanding of English and comprehension skills worthy enough to complete the written component of the haul truck course.
