The Mining Supervisor course consists of three units which, when completed together, make up what is commonly referred to as the G1, G8, G9 or S123 Mining Supervisor course.
G1 / S1 – RIIRIS301E – Apply Risk Management Processes
Develop the skills and knowledge required to identify, assess and manage workplace risks while ensuring risk management processes meet workplace requirements.
G8 / S2 – RIIWHS301E – Conduct Safety and Health Investigations
Develop the knowledge and skills required to conduct workplace safety and health investigations in accordance with industry procedures and standards.
G9 / S3 – RIICOM301E – Communicate Information
Develop the skills required to communicate workplace information clearly, concisely and effectively to employees and other stakeholders.
Designed for Future Supervisors
This course is particularly suited to people who already have experience within mining, civil construction or related industries and are looking to progress into positions involving greater responsibility.
Rather than serving primarily as an entry-level mining qualification, the course is designed to help existing workers develop the additional knowledge and skills required to effectively supervise people, manage workplace risks and respond appropriately to safety incidents.
Flexible Online Training
The Mining Supervisor course can be completed entirely online and at your own pace, making it particularly suitable for existing workers who need to complete their training around rosters, shifts and other work or personal commitments.
